guys guys this is a following up topic of my issuse here
ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/got-new-dizzy-but-now-need-help-t83555.html

I am not sure whether my mechanic knows what he is doing or not because he thought the problem could have been the spark plugs, so he changed them and no difference (i couldve told him that) then he did other things which were

Change the Distributor
Change The Coil
Test the injectors

and then he said it may be the computer because he said it was getting a spark, now he said he could get a second hand computer but i am thinking that if i go down to u Pull it and get a computer myself, then it would be cheaper and may help the car !

If i got a computer from a scrap car is there any problems with programming and what not?

Has your car got smartlock? If so you'll need to get a smartlock ECU

my mechanic said if i got it towed to his work shop he would put their dianostic computer on it and it will tell them where to look, he also said that if i put a second hand computer out of a car it may have fault and mess up my car even more !

Is he telling the truth?

Check if the injectors are getting an electrical pulse. If not it is probably a TFI issue.

If you have spark and injector pulse, you have no fuel pressue or dizzy is in wrong.

Prob is a fuel problem. Faulty pump, relay etc. I'm no expert on the computers, but I doubt it would be that. But it is easy to check for, and U-Pullit sell em cheap. Can't hurt to have a spare! Might be time to ask around bout a new mechanic if you get no joy from this one.

If it is getting correct spark and timing, it will fire up (run) for a second or 2 using aero start.
I have come accross another reason before on 2 mitsubishi's.
Starter motor was rooted and sucked every ounce of power to crank over leaving too little for the ignition system.

I can hear the fuel pump arming and disarming, they pressure is good and i also relieved it via the fuse but still no go ! The mechanics will hopefully get back to me tomorrow, but yes i will probally have to hunt around for a new mechanic.

The pain of it was i loved the old owners they did everything right by me !

ive heard a crook tfi module can blow a coil too, so maybe the coil went again and the mechanic thought it was the dizzy.
the original dizzy would have still needed another tfi though as well as another coil if that was the case.
