just had my EL converted to gas, I got a OMVL positive pressure setup with some sort of gas computer to control the flow. It has a 68L tank and on the 1st tank I got just over 550k's from it. It runs the same as on petrol unless you rev it over 4,500 when it doesnt pull quite as hard, but the rest of the time its exactly the same, cost $2200 happy paying 46.9cents/litre!

kewl. at least you can see your gas converter. mine is under the passenger side of the car. its beneath the air conditioner condensation drip hose. so they dont like tuning it for me as its got to go on the fricken hoist.

well the tank needs a retest done. and i have to change the car from VIC to QLD rego. the setup is quote "THE DODGIEST setup i have ever seen" unquote from bill up at north pine automotive. i am interested in some info on your system and if you have some ill see what i can use of whats here and upgrade the gas system on my car. i remember showing him the car and he says where the fuXor is the gas converter? i said under there mate he says s**t a brick wtf were they thinking. theres a relay next to the HEGO sensor which has melted - cos it gets hot there. all the wiring was just hanging in the engine bay not fixed to anything... messy as hell.

it starts on petrol and switches to gas straight away, you can switch from one to the other while idling without stalling. He said it has some sort of learing mode where it adjusts flow according to your driving style. I went in a AU with something called an Air-rod? system which was a dog compared to this setup. |

550k's was about 3/4 highway/freeway, the rest around town. Around town need to fill up about every 400-450k's. One thing I forgot, I put 1 heat range colder plugs NGK BP6EY gapped at .8mm in it.

nah thats good economy u should b really happy with, i wish i could get that. Yeah Bpr5ey-11 is stock for a petrol engine in the ef/l, bpr6ey for the gas, i thought they were gapped at 1.1? or did u gap them yourself at 0.8?
