Hi guys, I am (theoretically) looking at converting a manual eb (found a real nice 160km example) to an auto with a c4 and build the car up as a turbo project. I have to have auto as I only have one leg so thats the main reason why I'd be doing it. Can anyone give me a run down on what is involved and what to look out for in regards to the right c4 and housing etc?

Or other option is buy an auto eb and maybe mod the original trans or change it to c4?

unless you plan on massive power, I'd say your job would be easier just putting an E series BTR box in, they handle most turbo tasks ok, and best of all, it would be much easier and cheaper to fit.

to change to a BTR, you'd need an auto ECU (25 bucks or so on ebay) and some other bits and pieces.. best bet is to find someone wrecking an auto EB/ED and get all the bits you need in one hit.

Depends on how much power you're shooting for though. A BTR can handle a fair bit with a shift kit and a good cooler.
