just about to change the belts on the engine, was wondering what is the best coolant for an EBII 4ltr cheers James |

Basically all the big brands (Tectaloy, Nulon) are good just check that it's proper anitfreeze/anitboil, not just rust inhibitor. You want somewhere between 1 33$ to 50% mix.

Just follow the directions, you dont want it to cold.
Use concerntrate, as if you flush, there is still pure water in the block, if you use diluted, it will be diluted further, and below the mix ratio you want. |

Unless you are driving up to the snow or into the desert, you do not need anitfreeze/anitboil, rust inhibitor is more than enough.

Believe it or not, it does actually snow in Tassie in winter!  And I used to have some heating problems which caused the overheat light and beep to go off once, sorted now though (head gasket still fine)...
I was also under the impresion that rust inhibitor was made for old cars? |

yeh rust inhibitor alone is fine. if you plann on going for a drive through the simpson or up to buller then you should put anti freeze/boil

Not really, most inhibitors are made of the same thing as anitfreeze/antiboil, Ethylene Glycol, only differance is the concentration & the price.

Like someone mentioned before me, just get some concentrate and distilled water rather than the pre-diluted stuff

yeah i did. the nulon long life comes in 5ltrs and its like cordial eheheh
runs good now doesnt move much past O on Normal |
