You shouldnt loose coolant at all. Check for any obvious signs of coolant loss like stains on engine parts. Check the reservoir cap for any splits/cracks on the seal, check hoses both rubber and steel for signs of leaks, if after all that you find nothing have the cooling system pressure tested. Hopefully it isnt a head gasket and the coolant is leaking directly into the cylinder.

chances are there is a very small leak somewhere and it is loosing such a small amount that it evaporates without leaving any puddles. Like joolz said, it would probaly leave a stain so check around all the hose clamps even at the back of the engine and your welsh plugs too.

Check your Heater hose... mine was just hanging there fromt when they pressure tested it and put a new one on.... it could also possiably be a hole in the radiator...

get some big bits of white paper and some small weights (ie old spanners etc)...lay the paper down on the driveway with the weights pinning it down (2m by 2m area), then take it for a 10-15 min drive give it a bit of grief, then pull it up onto the driveway so the front of the car is over the paper and let it idle... if its dripping away the paper should show you where its dripping from and how quickly.... if its not a simple hose not on tight enough or a split hose...start worrying

Could still be going into the cylinders and out the exhaust. I had this problem on my EA, oil was also still clean. Turned out to be porosity holes in the head.

check radiator cap first, then heater tap. this usually deteriorates.
my xr6 leaked out of the metal pipe that goes from the water pump to heater.

I basically covered all the replies so far in the first responce!!
Does the exuast smell of coolant on start up if its been sitting for a few hours? start from the basics first (things you can check on your own) then if still nothing get professional help.
