There is no 4 cylinder section so I figured I will post it in the 6 cylinder section.
When I am stopped, My foot on the brake and the car in drive, It starts to shudder occassionally to the point of almost stalling. I replaced the plugs and leads, Reset the timing, Put on new points and a rotor button thinking these may be the cause of my problems but to no avail. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions of why my car may be the way it is? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Sounds like an air bleed idle jet is blocked???
Often taking air cleaner off reving engine or opening throttle and just when engine starts to rev put hand over carb so it sucks anything through these jets...From memory if its a Webber [2000 sohc or Kent G.T] they are on the side of carby...Another old trick was to swap two leads around so it would back fire a few times..Then swap em back....Mechanics don't do these tricks in front of customers ... Check fuel filter, check fuel bowl is clean, check needle and seat it maybe partly flooding, check float or fuel height in carb? Check inlet leaks??
