hi ai currently have a 1989 EA falcon, and i currently have a sik 3inch zorst with a cannon on it, but it doesnt nice enough, whats the best way to get a good sound, i got teh cannon coz a mate who has a 600hp skyline sound they make the sikest sounds ever, so i went and got one, now i am rather sad it sounds like poo, and also what is needed to turbo the car i cant spend more than $5k on it, its a red EA with GT stripes up the side and a GT wing, with GT scoops, i only got the autobarn ones coz at the time i couldnt afford the proper ones with holes. i am sorry but i am new to this stuff guys

well for starters the I6 sound s**t with the cannons and they should not be sold.

get a sports exhaust fitted or just a system with one muffler and the cat converter.

5k shold be enough for a turbo setup.

Skylines are still an inline 6 though, might have something to do with the revs but don't quote me on that, yeah have to agree good set of extractors and sports exhaust setup and you'll be laughing.

Mate has pacemaker extractors with a 2.5 inch sports exhaust i think, that gives off a nice sound, not droning either which i'm sure most people will agree that its a b**ch to put up with as a daily

Your an idiot for putting a cannon on a falcon. Go to an exhaust place and tell them you want a full exhaust system on your car and let them handle it.

true also, i'm only wildly guessing bout the revs though. as i mentioned mates sounds good, oh and the whole "sik" talk may not go down too well here most people try to type the full words out, (not sms language).

though 5lwindosrlover i'd decide now if you want to turbo or not, due to the fact you may not be able to use extractors for the exhaust for the turbo. if not take the cannon off and put some extractors in and see how she sounds.

a 600hp skyline is turbo, ea I6 is not, makes a big difference to how the exhaust sounds for starters, not to mention other differences such as engine capacity, manifold, rest of the exhaust....

If you plan on going turbo, dont bother getting a new exhaust until you have finished the turbo conversion. From the engine to the cat will need to be custom made for a turbo. You're just wasting money if you buy another exhaust now. Plus you'd probably want that 3" exhaust on your car once you have gone turbo.

the reason it doesnt sounf like a skyline is because it doesnt have a turbo,
turbo baffles the exahust sound your 3'' zosrt atm must be loud and barky get a nice snort kit stage 2 there about 3 grand with every thing and because you dont no to much to get it put in i couldnt see instalation fees being more that $1500 and then you ea will go like hell

first of all welcome to Fordmods el_cid26, mostly right though i'd say you could get away with a 2.5 inch maybe, hi-flow cat is a must, as for custom made, yeah or just make it yourself, you know me i'm stingy and will do most of the work myself
