ok, yes another fixing s**t thread from me.
it appears the front of me kframe is covered in oil again and i think im looking at a crank pulley seal. now are these worth doing at home? or should i just let a mechanic do it? Can they be done with the radiator in? or is there not enough room? and lastly will i loose any/much oil? i only just changed it and at 70 bucks, dont wanna do it again.

Are you sure it is the crank seal. i was told i needed one. but after doing my head the other day. i had to seal and reseal the power steer bracket bolt and the timing chain tensioner bolt, as there was a leak. after degreasing it and driving around a bit it is dry as a bone now.
if you're not 100% sure exactly what is leaking it might be worth degreasing and then rechecking where it's coming from.

If you narrow it down to the pulley seal. (mine is blown, i think its pretty obvious when thats the 1) its fairly easy... take your thermos out. Unbolt the middle harmonic balancer bolt and pull it off with a puller and use a screwdriver to flick out the old seal and a new 1 will just push in! easy as.

i am pretty sure its the crank pulley seal, there is a lot fo oil on the frame under the pulley and cant seem to find any oil anywhere else, i will have a closer look thursday as im working tomorrow and see what i can find.

just remember oil doesnt fall up (obvious but true) it can be flicked up. so find where the oil is have a look around and see where the highest point of the leak is then you will be able to determine where its comming from. also have a look around the timing case seal as the leak some time too.
