Guess the relaxed dude might be onto something using a big fat water coolant hose as they're re-inforced against this bellowing effect to an extent.

Water pump suction hose, the stuff at the top of the following link; http://www.millandmine.com/data/hose11.htm , should be way strong enough for FI.

Yeahp - That's good stuff. Only thing with PVC - How hot does your engine bay get, and how hot, in particular, does your throttle body and top of rocker cover get?

Further down the page there is
""RUBBER SUCTION HOSE

Water suction hose used for full suction and high discharge pressures. Maximum temperature is 158 degrees. Black EPDM tube. Two ply polyester tire cord steel wire reinforcement. Black EPDM rubber, weather and ozone resistant cover with green stripe.""

which is a two layer re-inforced water suction hose that is rated up to 160 degrees celcius....

Maybe the rubber suction hose is the go then. My thinking is it might be better than the BA setup between the TB and airbox, because there would be less internal undulations and shape change, and a more gentle curve into the TB.

Okay. It would be nice to hear some other opinions on this, even harsh criticism, go for it. Because maybe this is a significant new development.
