The dev3hl won't need a new computer. But to get the absolute most out of it, it'd probably be wise.

The Crow Cam 2222549 is a Stage 3 cam, so idling may be way off.

No its actually a stage 2 cam mate, the stage 3 is the one above is the 2222543 which actually needs a chip to run.

I put that in mine and the idle was all over the place and I had to get the chiptorque chip for it, also to sort out A/F troubles.

As for actually answering the question that was asked, the stage 2 crow cam which you are asking about is a good mild cam that will run in your auto although you will rarely stall at the lights during idle while in drive. Other than that its a good value for money billet cam.

Hope that helps.

Well, i think they're wrong. Cause its lift and duration is very similar to the EF one.

You guys talk of a dev 3 and dev 3 HL cam... what brand/make/profile are you refering to?

I'm looking at a new cam myself (EF Futura - 5Spd - LSD - Dumped - Genie Custom Extractors -> 2.5")

I'm not looking for a 'hot hot' cam ... but something that'll give me power/torque from 2000/2200RPM -

I'll be upgrading to a new computer shortly after the cam...
(I'm hoping it'll be lumpy enough to stall during idle so that i can convince the wife to get a new Chip ASAP :D )

Suggestions???
