Has anyone got one of these? How good are they and does any one know the price? will the idle be lumpy and is it likely to stall (ive got an auto)

Any info will be appreciated

Thanks

btw i did a search but it only came up with one post which wasnt really applicable.

It depends on what you want out of the cam. This is a fairly mild cam performance wise but from accounts Ive been told its not real idle friendly. AFAIK crow only give the option of billet cams so its not going to be cheap. The best option being both satisfactory on power gains and cost would have to be the wade 1604 IMO. Many FM members are happy with thier wade cams and I think they would be a good option if your not chasing maximum performance.

Thanks for the quick reply

What do people think about the DEV 3 HL cam. Its not that i wouldnt like the wade cam but it appears to be a very cheap option but i want to shop around before getting a cam so i get it right first time.

When i was bored at work today I noticed that the Crow cam (can't remmeber which one) that was listed in our system for the EF I6 was like 400 bucks, stuff that when my wade cost 250 all up[ - including the new gaskets and what not!

In comparison the Dev 3 will eat a std car alive off the mark and I will be game enough to state that it would have the crow stg 2&3 cams as well. The wade stg 2 cams wont beat the Dev 3 for outright power and acceleration.

The Dev 3 cam or Dev 3 HL? Also does the latter actually need harder springs?

i said the dev 3 HL for the person that asked and yes it will need upgraded valve springs. judging by what people are saying i think i will save for the DEV 3 HL as i have only heard good things about them. Failing that I will get a wade (still trying to decide which would be best. Thanks to everyone that contributed. :D

The dev3hl won't need a new computer. But to get the absolute most out of it, it'd probably be wise.

The Crow Cam 2222549 is a Stage 3 cam, so idling may be way off.

I have the dev3hl in mine very happy with it you'll need the vernier cam gear to set it up correctly. If you don't have one by october PM me, I'm upgrading to dev5 so I can sell you my cam and springs.

Dev3HL Has far more lift than a 1004/crow cams, so it should deliver more up top. It would have a very small duration to keep the idle happy, but its designed to give an all round good result.
