Just purchased a crow vernier gear, looking at the timing mark and noticed it wasnt in line with the tooth(timing mark is slightly to the left of the tooth)Is this normal? never used one before so im not sure if thats how they are but id like to find out before i fit it.

Yep it lines up with the dowel perfectly.I am used to the traditional type of timing gears where the dot lines up with the tooth. If its meant to be like that then its all good. Thanks for the help

yep if it lines up with the dowel pin exactly like the standard gear, then should be fine.

If you know what lift to dial the cam in, it shouldnt really matter....

although i gave up dialing mine in, as i was measuring from the top of the rocker arm and was getting incorrect readings because of the lifter releasing pressure before moving the valve, ended up with over 4 degrees retarded.... still made good power though :)
