at half price that would be a rip off, u shouldnt have to replace it all caus its ticking, actually mine started ticking id rather have it tick thatn replace the lifters, but i know if i could be bothered i could prob make it not tick b mucking around with it

11 & 14mm HLA cost $20 a peice from surecam. 12 x $20 = $240 alright! :P

nice nice, i still dont think the probs the HLA's anyway, repco do the HLA for about $30 as well i was just quoting the ford price 8-)

when you did the install the cam did you check clearances? what is being said about shims is correct, since you have installed a new cam the clearances have now changed, lift your rocker cover off, any rocker that is not on rock give it a push, there should be absolute minimal movement, if you set one or two that noticably move then you need to shim it up to absorb that movement otherwise you will bash the crap out of the HLA and needlesly have to replace it, than once replaced if you don't fix it at that point. then it will need to be done again.. Jaysen has writen a DC_todd proof cam install doco. pretty pics and good explanations

have a read see if there are any steps that you don't recognise, then do em cause you probably missed it. this is not specific to ALTED cams in this doco, but give credit when credit is due.

yeah finnaly found out today after talking to the ppl at ALD that i need new thicker shims, will be going in on thursday, thanks guys
