The brake fuse is the power circuit for the cruise module, as well as the brake circuit.
Because the dash indicator isn't working, it's either the cruise module isnt getting power, the steering wheel switches are dead, the cruise module is dead or maybe the cruise indicator globe in the dash has died. I take it you've hit the on button and tried to set a speed, even though the light on the dash hasn't come up. Just to see if its a cluster globe problem. |

Yeah even tho the cluster light hasn't came on I've still tried to set a speed,
I'll check what you've suggested is the problem , cheers

So that rules out the dash indicator globe... Sounds like it may be one of the other 3 problems.

Yes, I'm hoping it's the fuse, easy fix, so are the switches just finding some that work will be hard.

Looking from the front of the car, its directly to the left of the master cylinder.
Bolted up under a body panel by 3 nuts. |

I checked the stop fuse, and it's fine Also checked other fuses just incase it was the wrong fuse and there all fine , so ive narrowed it down to switches or cruise module

The cruise control also uses a clutch switch, so cruise will cut out when the clutch is depressed. If you have a manual, check the clutch pedal switch (similar to the brake switch).
If you have an auto, the clutch switch connector is still on the loom, leaving an open circuit (ie, no cruise). But there is meant to be a connector with a short loop of wire plugged into the loom to complete the circuit, so the cruise module thinks the clutch is always engaged. If that plug is missing or loose, cruise will not engage. Though I would have expected the cruise light to still work. Maybe worth checking anyway.
