Sorry not too sure which forum to put this in but here goes.
I have a 94 ef falcon gli with cruise control fitted. The last few weeks it has been doing wierd things. I have noticed that instead of just tapping the brake to turn it off, i really have to slam the brakes on. I was testing it this morning and i can actually brake and it wont turn off! Could this mean that my sender thing under my brake pedal could be dying? And if so how much is one of these things going to cost me???

Are your brake lights working? I'm assuming they dont, which would mean a stuffed switch on the pedal.
If you have to hit the brake hard to turn off the cruise, then its the backup pressure switch on the master cylinder thats kicking in. It requires a bit more force to make that sensor work, rather than the normal switch. |

if your brake switch fails and is the cause of the problem your cruise will still turn on !!

Been there. It's the brake light switch, when changing it check for oil, that will cause premature failure of the new one.
