one inch is approx = to 2.54 cm

therefore one cubic inch (1^3 in) = 2.54^3 = 16.387 cm^3

dig?

so 4 litres = 4000 cm^3 / 16.387 cm^3

= 244.09

The 4L engien is 3984cc not 4000cc

so that puts it at 243.1 CI

61ci to the litre, the 4.0L SOHC I6's are actually a tad under 4L, 3983cc or something can't remember, so 243/244 is about right...

EDIT: just read above and they're more acurate...

Wouldn't you love an updated DOHC fuel injected version of the old 265?

You got good fuel economy out of it? s**t! The VJ was costing us a fortune to run around in, 265 Hemi built to E49 spec inside, and then a 4 barrel Holley vaccum seconday for induction. 4 speed Borg Warner single rail on her and standard diff. But then again we were booting it all the time! :)
