hey guys....
im looking at doing a BBM conversion but there is all sorts of spade/crimp connectors everywhere in my engine bay, im not sure if this is going to make my conversion harder but its annoying me, the car used to be on gas... hopefulyl some1 can shed some light pics here: this one has nothing to do with a bbm but its just another area of connecters going nowhere [/i]

im not too sure bout the first pic cos cnt really c,,,,the wires and plugs in pic2 on my car were behind the manifold and brake vacume hose,,,and as for pic3,,,if u r going to do the bbm conversion, u mite aswell grab all the wires off another eb-ed cos u have got to pull them all out anyway, just check where it all goes .

yes i know thats the o2 sensor...but why has it been cut in half and had crimp connectors put on it...
yes the 2nd pic is connectors for the injectors, i guess u cant see all the bare wires and crimp connectors going nowhere the 3rd pic is right next to the throttle body...yet again..wires everywhere with crimp connectors... thank you for that usefull bit of information

Any holes in your boot?
My guess is used to be on gas.

yeh it was on gas, but im worried if i dont put those cables back somewhere when fitting BBM that things not going to work properlly, and i dont see why the o2 sensor has been cut in half and re-connected with spade connectors...

All those cut and joined wires are/were for a gas system. The ones on the o2 sensor are of no consequence. Just hook them up the same.
The ones at the back near the firewall were for turning the injectors off when the gas was on. (good place to wire in a kill switch) The third up above the throttle body is again of little consequence. Can't remember exactly what they were for but keep them hooked up the same. If you are going to do a BBM conversion, I am led to beleive you need another loom anyway......

O2 sensor has crimp terminals because the gas computer would have spliced into for an o2 reading.

From the posts so far, you should have enough info - the wires down near the dizzy may have been for a tacho signal which the gas shut off/computer would've needed.
