Hi guys, While up on holidays in Townsville my fuel pump dies or so i thought and couldnt manage to get one while their so chanced coming back on LPG and yes didnt make it all the way, I would have had a truck not wiped the pumps out at Camilla and we ended up geting stuck in a place called Molboro and it was their i found out my pump was good as i took it out and tried it on the battery and it was working so put it back together and then spliced into the wires then hooked them up to the parkers so when i turn the parkers on the pump would work and bugger me dead it worked and we were able to drive into Rockhampton to fill up on LPG again.
Anyways Question is if my pump is ok what else could be the problem any ideas guys? The new motor Au in the Ef went like a dream no dramas their just everything else just about played up i need new shockies all way around, another Radiator, another coolant bottle had to put a Au radiator , Coolant bottle and that didnt fit had to cut the tags off and have it sitting their loose and thermos in what a tight fit then couldnt shut the bonnet and had to remove the plastic pins of the radiator to shut the bonnet but it got us home, but other than that it was a good trip we got there and back. |

You need to trace the wiring from the ECU to the Relay (under the rad bottle) and to the pump and make sure the signal is getting all the way from the ECU to the pump.
I love you fix for getting the pump to work. Very clever. Cheers BenJ

Thanks Ben yeah was faced with a situation of staying there till a mate of mine came thru to tow us and he wasnt that keen on the idea as we had a trailer (dog trailer on the back as well with 11 siberian huskies in it) or have ago at getting it to work on petrol some how and that seemed the easiest way.
The relay is that the green looking one under the coolant bottla as i have two there? |

I believe that is the correct relay.

There are two relays down there. One is the ECU Relay, and the other is the Fuel Pump relay.
It should click when you turn the car to REDS and the pump should prime. Good Luck. BenJ

Earth the top right pin of the diagnosis connector.
Turn ign on (make sure petrol is selected) - pump should run continuously - does it ??

Did you establish which relay is clicking?
It really is now a matter of elimination. If you can find out for sure that the Fuel Pump Relay is clicking, but there is no power down at the pump end, then there is a problem with the wiring in between. BenJ

Sounds Like Relay faulty, the coil is energise ,but the Relay contact is not making contact. The colour wires for fuel pump black/yellow and it get power from red wire when relay is made.
A few LPG Installers wire the power to lpg system from Fuel pump Power .This is a bad Practice as eventually damage the fuel pump. Im my experience causes alot of trouble. If that is the case U have to relocate the lpg power wire to accessory and get a new relay. Finding the fault is just eliminating possibility. Off-topic: Siberian huskies in Townsville? They must be seriously lost and incredibly hot! Sorry, couldn't resist.
