What oxy sensor did you buy?
That one looks extremely similar to my wideband oxy sensor. The EEC isn't going to know what to do with a wideband. |

I was kinda think that too. If you change from the factory one the ECU isnt rigged for different ones is it?

EEC wont take a wideband as
a) it's output is completely different and b) a wideband needs a seperate controller. Not an LSU4 is it frank? It does look like a WB as they're a little complex than the (zirconia?) element of a NB..

Mine looked just the same, after almost 180000 ks a couple of weeks ago... Much better now though after the swap to a new NTK, seems to have more up and go off the line now. Wolfpac

$350 for ford or
$110 for a bosch unit from Auto1 dont think it is a wideband plugged straight in to the loom and started fine car was runnign rich i think only getting 9kms per litre MAX! thats beign a BIG nanna new sensor mmm seems a bit wierd atm will reset ecu tonite

i got a denso oxygen sensor from repco, cost around $70 about 4 weeks ago..

I bought an NTK today, $71.50 and its exactly the same as the ford jobbie I pulled out. Will see if they make much of a difference, doing 700kms this w.end

100kms/(9kms/1ltr)=11ltrs/100kms which is rather good for an I6 or am i wrong ? cheers, itchione |

yeh, 11.1 L/100km, sounds pretty good to me.
maybe those series 2 EL xr's are better on fuel...

Yep, Ford Dealer here quoted $140, Trade! Repco wanted $120 and Bursons wanted only $80 for the same NTK sensor! I know where I went... Wolfpac
