What is the difference between a dedicated gas engine and a standard one (EL Falcon)?

EL never had a dedicated GAS, that came later in the AU series.

afaik a dedicated gas engine has stainless valves hardened valve seats ..
they also have a higher compression and i think a different cam profile..

Ded gas motors have different vaules, different intake manifolds, different throttle body and reinforced bottom end (to take the heat of the gas motor)

well there is no difference in bottom ends because all the extra heat is top end ..thats the reason for the stainless valves..
the extra heat is created from no valve seat lubrication and higher compression..
but if we are talking au dedicated lpg well the bottom end is strong enough std...

There is a reinforcing plate on the bottom end of the au ded gas as i know as my motor has been out for work and the engine builder could not belive it!

I think everyone is speculating without any facts!
I doubt they'd run stainless valves, it's not the valves that f**k up, it's always the seats.
I highly doubt the bottom end is any different, the stock bottom end handles far more than you could give it, LPG adds nothing to stress.
As stated, the EL was never a ded LPG anyway, so i think your question has already been answered.

That bottom end reinforcement is a crank main cap girdle. They came out with the EL Hybrid engine, then the AU got side bolts added to go from the main caps to the alloy sump.
The AU was the first dedicated LPG engine and are recogniseable by the Green rocker cover, which is the same green as the Fairlane Sportsman (I6) had in the NC's.

compression 10.5\1 same mechicals, harder valve seats, better exhaust valves, cams have no exhaust over lap, require less timing advance, ported heads ----run hard on both fuels
