I couldnt agree more that a car like that is made to have a lot of fun in, like i said ive had my fair share, got a 90 300zx in the garage in need of some TLC as my witness :p but i wouldnt expect anyone to pay much for a car thats been flogged... if the car is in good enough condition for the price then it will sell naturally... i was just pointing a few thoughts of mine out (not trying to step on toes or be a know it all which from re-reading my posts it looks like!!)
cheers |

The trouble with a lot of people like this is they don't know the difference between driving a car hard and mechanical abuse.. I used to know a guy who used to constantly do stuff like drive his entire trip not higher then second gear (keeping the engine in its powerband apparently, embarrasing being in the car too - Silvia with a f@rt). The car constantly would see the redline when stone cold and I would never touch a car like that.

Such a nice car, sad to see it being treated like Sh**t,
by the way I had to laugh at this, that the seller put on it Quote: Approx $30.000 + invested on this car!

Damn it s**t me when people say they have "invested" money in their car.
"Investing" in an E series falcon is a pretty piss poor investment indeed. |

Yeh the chassis was pretty old, used to be a company car before that... Like someone said its been in the shop a few times. Was a nice car, got me into Fords lol Dont get me wrong it still is a nice car but I personally wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, especially since this bloke from Cowra has had it.

Only if it's a T3. Series 1 and 2 are declining in value. EL GT would give a return. Not sure about EB GT. Doesn't seem that an FBT will. |

cars that give returns are as rare as hens teeth and by the time you can be sure it will be one to apreciate in value they are worth a mint even ts50's will depreciate, albiet at a very miniscule rate.
saw a t3 ts50 for sale here in vic, 85000ks on it, manual, black, new rims and 3 inch exhaust (no headers) for $30k. I weep every night at the fact I cant generate the income to give this amazing peice of machinery a good home. Its got my name all over it but without job no can buy ><

I have an original XC Sundowner. In the words of the girl in reception of Ford headquaters "That's as rair as rocking horse sh!t!)
That is a car that increases in value.. there were only 350 or so of them ever made. (XC sundower was kind of a trial run to prepare for the XD version). values only go up on those things.. would prefer a GTHO though to be honest. |

Granted it has gone up in value, but what was it worth 10 years ago??? Sweet FA!! All the baby boompers are retiring with a wad of cash, they're pushing up the prices... Example, that phase III that went for High $600's... it wasn't a pedigree race car, had 5 years missing on service history and had 2-3 parts that were fake (parts weren't that spesh, but still!) ... 4 months earlier a phase III with racing pedigree went for $450,000 immac and all parts and history... But all this in the last 10 years... My point... 1970's vehicles are worth a packet because they were ICON vehicles, and even then it took 30 years for prices to go upwards! be verrrrrrrry patient, otherwise invest your money...
