Whats the differences between E-series and AU pistons? Different design for higher compression on the AU?

according to what i have here
ED = compression height 34.67mm, dish 4.4mm EF-EL = compression height 34.67mm, dish 2.85mm AU = compression height 30.9mm, dish 1.2mm, MOS2 coating on skirt So it would be due to different conrods, but i dont have any info on conrods in the catalog |
