The bore size, stroke is the same. The cyl head combustion chamber design is different. The engine loom is different too. Its only small stuff.

My old girl goes well, an 88EA 'S' 3.9 MPFI 5sp LSD as ordered from Ford in Stark white. It does for what I want.

if only ford had used the 250 crossflow in ea's thay would have been a very reliable car, or a cast iron head 3.9

EB 2 had a much better front end, and they also run 28 spline axles compared to 25 in the EA and EB 1.
Air intakes were the same, you must be thinking of the CFI. You'd have no dramas fitting the EA engine into EB. |

That's a bit of generalisation! There was nothing wrong with my EAII when I bought it, it served me well and was in good condition when I sold it! So they weren't all s**t.

LOL, they were known as a lemon when they first came out Max, surely you remember that?
But like any new model, once they sorted out all the s**t problems they turned out to be a good car. |

But like any new model, once they sorted out all the s**t problems they turned out to be a good car. When I bought mine I was told to stay away from the series 1's. As most of the problems were meant to have been sorted out by the time the series 2 arrived. Unfortunately the stigma of the series 1 left people think the 2's were the same. Funny how a series 1 EB is a tarted up EAII yet people except it as a far better car.
