As I recall, the MAF sensor on the EL GT was larger than the standard XR8 one and as a result, may have needed a different airbox lid to accomodate it. I suspect there's not much benefit in buying it on its own as you'd need a fair few mods before air flow through the MAF was sufficient to render it a bottleneck. Not to mention it's almost completely and utterly useless on a six since they use an entirely different system for measuring the amount of air consumed by the engine to the V8s: a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. It may be possible to modify the 6 to use a MAF sensor but it'd probably take a bit of work and probably not be worth it.

The air box is the same..See the alloy adapter between maf and box?? That is whats required to fit 70mm maf to std box..Same as whats used on Gt's...I'd check with Mt Laundau as he imports maf meter's and gone to trouble a calibrating them to our filters etc...As the Mustangs used connical filters...His maf's will bolt straight up...

Why is this in 6 cyl section ?
