i pulled the head yesterday and noticed that no.4 has bugger all carbon build up and 1,2,3,5,6 are black as night (piston heads). Cars duel fuel. Head pulled due to loss of water as per other posts. Any ideas bout the carbon build up. :? :?

The water has leaked onto piston 4 steam cleaning all the carbon off. If you didn't notice any damage to the head gasket in that area I would very carefully check the head and block.

cheers
Scott

I agree - water into no 4, steam cleans the pistons and chambers.
