What is the general lifespan of a distributor module in the 4.0 distributors?

really depends on whether the motor has been cooked before and whether heat sink compound was applied to the module before fitting. I would say any where between 40000km-300000km.

The outlaws (inlaws) EB did umpteen zillion kms b4 it needed replacing. Mine had done 250k B4 I put in a new dizzy and module, only 'cos I was repairing the head gasket. The module was still working fine!!

I don't think anybody really knows :?
