you may need to spend a little too keep your FORD looking and sound ing like it should

oil 5 litres of quality oil
oil filter
spark plugs
leads
a bottle of throttle body cleaner
a oil catch can
a good set of tools (you should already have)
fuel filter
air filter
5 litres of diesel to flush ur radiator
coolant to refill it not water
check your wiper blades
check and or rotate tyres
wheel alignment if car pulls to one side
brake pedal rubber if worn replace
if ur windows fogs up regurlarly it be a good idea to clean it from the inside for a change
check transmission fluid levels
check diff oil levels
check under car for leaks if there are leaks it means seals are old and worn and need replacing first thing a RWC is needed usually.
check rubbers to suspension and control arms if there lookin craked or fall apart they need replacing too
check suspension for leaks and or squeeky noises, if so they need replaceing too
***top up your washer bottle***
make sure u bleed you cooling system from bubles and air
if ur brakes need replacing take your car to a professional cause you don't want to make a mistake there...
check your lights for correct opteration blinkers front and rear lights and reverse lights....most the time its a globe burnt out...

um,i don't know about others but i don't think i'd be putting diesel in my coolng system.

yes please explain how diesel will clean your cooling system...i have never heard of that before

replace the cabin filter/s on newer cars that have them

ba onwards you will need 6L of oil. 6.5 with filter but the engine is never drained completely so 6 should do it.

ba onwards won't require leads.

i'm with everyone else on the diesel in the radiator.

brakes aren't that hard if you have half an idea what to do. huge savings to be had here if you do it yourself. obviously not everyone is capable here so if unsure seek professional help. shop around too.

interested in the diesel in radiator flush as diesel is a heavy oil type fuel and would most likely sludge with the possible rust and dirt better off using a muck out or similar bout the same price as 5l of diesel and possibly better results combined with heater open flush

If your radiator needs a proper flush arn't you best off pulling it out and taking it to a professional?

if it really bad yeah but when doi a home job a good flush like that can remove a fair bit

ive been told that you can fill your sump with around 5L of diesel, i assume just through the rocker cover like normal, then drain the diesel out and that cleans out the sump, oil jackets etc...?

any truth to that?

i think the diesel was intentionally for the engine i stuffed my typin up sorry guys, engine flush usually required at least once every 80,000 k's

I have done the diesel cleanout on clevo after a head gasket let go and it worked really well removed all the milky s**t but took about 20 ltrs not 5.

yeah i've heard about the diesel in the engine to,,neve been game to try it though.

Done it once, there are so many detergents in diesel, thats way it cleans good, been done for many a year.

do you drain the oil out first,and how long do you need to run the engine with the diesel in it?

drain half sump oil and then add the add deisel fuel until dip stick full, run for ten min at Idle.
Drain & change oil filter pour new clean oil.
