ok i modified this post so people like me who wanted to make a shift kit for there car with seperate tcm could such as ea series 2 and eb series 1
parts needed are: 1 10 watt 18 ohm resistor 1 10 watt 5.6 ohm resistor a spdt switch (on / on switch) and a small project box to put the resistors in some wire capable of 5 amps these are the codes of the products from jay car the total cost was $12.70 RR3355 RR3349 STO336 HB6065 WH3080 i could only get the diagram up by taking a pic of it lol this is for the TCM which is the separate transmission computer under the dash near the hand break this is the diagram of what wires you need to cut and splice into are pin 29 which is yellow you splice into that one and pin 7 which you cut into remember on the efs pin 71 is equivalent to pin 29 and pin 81 is equivalent to pin 7 on the tcm

doesnt any body have a diagram or any thing comon guys i need help i no its pin 7 and pin 29 on the tcm now but i dont know what ones they are
help would be much appreciated and also make my rear wheels chirp into second gear

I made a shift kit for my EB1 that im not using anymore.
Be warned, from memory the resistor values are different to those used in the later models. The numbers 8 and 20 ring a bell, not sure the unit of measurement but that may help.

hey i didnt get to do it today because my cars being a b**ch and they belts a slipping like hell so i gotta get that fixed before i can drive it
and know i heard i have to use different resistors???? i thought the shift kit would be fin with 18 and 5.6 can any one conferm this?

ok for every one that wants to d oit to an ea and eb1
heres what i just bought and aparantly it works fine one 18 ohm resistor(10 watts) = $1.50 one 5.6 ohm resistor (10 watts) = $1.50 one on/on switch = $2.70 project box = $2.20 5 amp wire = $4.50 the only queery i have now is how fat the dam wire is it makes the project box not close properly any ways ill let use know how it goes eitha tonight or 2 moro

would it matter if i used 5w resistors not 10w jay car sent me 5w not 10w

Sorry you're right, 5.6ohm and 18ohm is correct, 8ohm and 20ohm must be for the later models.
Haha my project box wouldnt close either. Ended up taking it off the car but worked ok for what it was.

emmonttom so did you use the 5.6 ohm and ahohm of the 8ohm and 10ohm
bcause the 5.6 and 18 are also used in the efs and els i hope they work on my ea and jetpilot i have no clue if 5w will work it says 10 w so they probably would have been the best i went to jay car and had no idea were to look so i asked the bloke and he gatehred every thing for me im currently soldering it up now

thanks man ive already made mine just haven't wired it in.
couldn't hurt trying it out as they are lower value not higher but then again might order some 10w's just to be safe |

i cant see it hurting if they are lower value
oi just a question is your 5 amp wire pretty fat and red because mine is at least 1/2 a cm fat bit hard to solder with it
