i know the AUs had the upgraded head gaskets but do they still blow on the AUs as compared to the EF/ELs?

im looking at buying a new daily and i would like a car that dosnt have the head gasket problem.

any other problems to look out for in AUs?

Cheers all

au have minor dramas like the rest of cars around.. a decent looked after AU wouldn't have much dramas,, i am sure a au would do a head gasket sometime in it's life time (like very high kms)

I have heard AU Taxis have clocked the odometer once without blowing a head gasket...maybe even clocked twice. But I have only heard this.

you would still have to watch out for cooling system corrosion around the water jackets and previous overheating...AU is now 10 years old...there obviously would be a lot of s**t out there and not just the high K cars
