I've put a CAI through bottom of airbox through to front left air vent,, I suspect it gives me better high speed ram air supply, but does it weaken the lowspeed, low-rev power and torque?

cheers

I wouldnt think so, but thats my opinion.

I did the same thing on my Fairmont and it felt a little stronger throughout the rev range. But im putting it down to my BA XR6T snorkel being partially blocked off by the rubber bonnet mould as the snorkel was sitting back about 10mm from the original location.

Does your car feel like its lost a bit of torque down low?

no just a suspicion, brainstorming -- just like anything motor-wise, if you're gaining something, you could be compromising something else.
