Gday,

Got my car tuned last friday and car goes heaps better but wheni take off, i will get to about 2000rpm then the car will start coffing a spluttering and there is no power, it will still do it if you let go of the Go pedal. You have to put your foot down nearly flat to get past it then bang heaps of power. It smooths out as you keep going but you can tell the power down low is crap an dowey. The only thing left i can thing of doing is fuel reg or fuel pump. btw this had the problem before the tune but was alot less noticable.

Could it be the injectors? Just throwing it out there, as they can casue similar symptoms i.e spluttering, feeling dowey down low. Ive got a similar issue at the moment, seems to lack a bit of grunt below 2500rpm, then once it hit 3000 its all go

yea iv got new injectors an it didn't do anythin, after the tune it seems worse for some reason, im guessin the tune has made it so there is less fuel going in down low, an when it gets to that 2000ish rpm theres way to little fuel to keep the power going.

who tuned it, perhaps take it back, and get them to diagnose it, a quick run on a dyno will tell if its running to lean/rich etc.

things to check aswell.
-fuel filter
-fuel grade (did they tune for 98 and your running 91, rmember not all servos "premium is 98)
-tried it with a full tank of fuel?

walbro 255's on ebay for $150

ok cool, EFI Dynamics tuned it, hes done a few chips and they have seemed to go pretty good. Im taking it back Friday to get checked out. I only got to BP and get the Ulitimate 98 octane for my car. fuel filter is about 20,000k's old aswell. I havn't tried with a full tank of fuel either?? what would that do?

could it be really bad rich? had the same symtoms with carbed race motors. thing feels like its lean, but actually its drinking so much the excess fuel is exstingushing the burn.

I'd take it back and talk to them about the advance on it or something
