they would be handy to have if you have alot of high pressure oil lines around (ie turbo setup) or a real high pressure fuel pump, but on a stocko im not sure if the price would justify the need of it. doubt anyone on here has one unless itsin there race car or something

Doesnt it just spray into the engine bay, like a foam to stop fire spreading/put it out??

they use em on NFP toyota landcrusers in underground coal mines downside is there is a fairly large canister you have to find a spot for. and i also recon it wouldn't be cheap to set up.

your guess is right.
Just enquiring for a friend who doesnt want to risk an engine fire f**k his car as its worth abit of dosh. Just trying to find out who supplies them in aust and how they go with legalities and such

Yea these would be handy for hp cars, anyone heard of the booyah magna, apparently his flywheel shatered, and a piece went straight throught the bellhousing and cut a fuel line, the whole car burnt to the ground and wasnt insured, over $100g gone. Poor guy, it was a awesome car too.

He was in teh middle of updating his policy, he said the papers arived 2 days after it burnt down.
