Damn, sooooo tempting to get the pipes and exhaust.

But distance and timing is the enemy here.

Cheers

Wow, that's some hardcore progress. Cool man, how well does the xr6t engine go in the lighter ED?

Cheers

The lighter body complements the power :) made a corvette look pretty sorry the other morning.
All runs really well except if I really put my foot down and hit the limiter it sometimes goes into a funny mode where it runs real rough and is nearly undriveable. Cycling the ignition off and on resets it though. Mate at ford thinks it's going into guard mode. Don't really know what that is but it mite be all good now as I had driven it with the temp sender broken, easy to break when installing the engine have fixed that now and it hasn't happened since. I drive it like a granny anyway so I guess time will tell.
Still need to do a dyno run and a good tune and I'm sure it will do a whole lot better.

Cheers jesse

Cheers guys, ba front seats almost line up just a spacer is needed for one bolt on each seat my rear seats are au as the ba rears are a tricky job best to do a search on all that, plenty of threads with good detail.

Can anyone shed some light on my "guard mode" problem? Happened again today would love to know why it happens and how to stop it.
Cheers Jesse

Turns out it's over boosting because it hasn't been tuned yet. Full dyno getting done soon, will give an update when it's done

apexi turbo timer installed in an hour, worked first go, so good to be able to leave the car and not have to wait.
just started a new job so the tune should be happening in the next 2 weeks hopefully!

i have now got a 6 speed zf auto from a 50th anniversary fg! So will be widening the e series tunnel and also using a full ba k frame set up with an au xr diff. So if anyone is interested in my rims and tires proper pre au offset. not a scratch on them and 80% tread i will part with the lot for $700.
Will be starting another project soon. An eb dohc conversion again this time 4WD! (will be using complete territory suspension)
Stay tuned

Cheers jesse

quick update:
i will post a more detailed list with photos when i get the chance.

so far i have done...

ba k frame and front suspension.
complete au diff
fully mounted the zf 6 speed (yes they do fit in the e series tunnel with no mods!)
full black au leather seats front and back with dvd screens in headrests.
twin gauges (boost/oil press)
engine wiring harness with zf auto plugs and provisions.
engine in.
walbro 255 lph fuel pump

to do...

convert ALL ba wiring to bf
run bf brake lines and abs module (for traction controll)
install bf brake booster and master cylender
install bf xr6t zf pcm.
bigger injectors.
bf 6spd cluster (aparantly its necessary so my ba xr6 one is up for grabs $200)
once this is done it will be off to the shop to get reset and have all the modules co'operate with eachother and the gearbox.

finally a full dyno tune and we should be good for 300+rwk

cheers jesse
