Have all the wiring sorted out in my head, and the small mods needed for the EB K Frame.
Just need dollars to buy a flash tuner to get rid of all the security etc. Will get there one day LOL Cheers BenJ

This k-frame conversion is looking easier and easier each time I see it. It's so damn tempting just for the brakes. Bit hard to find time to do it on the daily though.
What steering rack do you need to use with the BA k-frame? |

Nice write up on the way the crush tubes were sorted to mount the new sub frame. I enjoyed reading up on it.
Cheers ToranaGuy

I really need to do the cross member conversion, it is so worth it just for the brakes... not to mention the greater wheel choices afforded to you with the new offset and the fact that any late motor can then bolt straight in.

Yeah the k frame addition comes with many bennefits. I've got a full set of brembos to go on now can't wait to see how they look when fitted! But the main reason I did the k frame was so I could use the ba wheel senders... Without them there will be no speedo signal as I now have the zf box. Not to mention traction control which is a nice addition too. It also allows me to legally use 19" rims as the bearings are suitable for the bigger diameters.
So when I get my engineers certificate it will cover the obvious things that police love picking on. Going up north soon so the build will be on hold for about 2 months. I'll keep updating the progress as I go. Cheers jesse

Yes I used the ba pedal box, however I removed the ba brake pedal section and maintained the eb brake pedal, this paired with an au2 booster and ba master cylinder, this all went together just right. You can use the complete ba pedal box including the brake pedal if you use a ba booster and master cylinder, but some modifications to the box will need to be done so it can fit snug against the fire wall, the first option in my opinion is easier.
As for the locators on the ba k frame, the ones on the cast ally section locate in the exact same hole on the e series chassis rail which makes things quite easy Cheers Jesse

Hi, awesome work with the conversion. I was wondering how you got your central locking working? Did you install the BA door actuators or go with an aftermarket kit? Its a pity you're on the other side of the country, as you'd be the perfect person to fix my problems. I've got a BA fitted out with FG XR6T ZF running gear, and I've installed the FG dash and full body looms. This is as far as I've got and I can't figure out how to fit the FG door trims, and the FG door actuator/tibbe/handle/etc setup is completely different and won't bolt into the BA door shell.

thanks all i built the car purely because i wanted to but it comes with benefits anyway, being lighter of course and maintaining the ed shell is a bonus for me,
ive used a aftermarket alarm system and central locking setup, which is tied into the bf security, its actually better then the standard settings. As for fg door trims on the ba i woulnt expect it to be too hard to get working... The door shape would be very similar and given the handle is cable driven it would just be a case of mounting that properly cheers jesse
