I was told this by the people I asked to do it... So I decided against it...

I am waiting for Kurnell Kustoms to one day maybe release a full fibreglass one to suit an ED... They for them for EF onward... But not the ED...

yeah that is a worry, however i had one done back in 05 and i didnt have any dramas with it, i do know one flaw people make is they dont drill holes to vent the cavity between the hood and the bulge(hence the cracking from the expanding air when hot...my mate is a panel beater so if it does eventually go pear shaped then ill go the steel job or even the full fibre bonnet,if they do decide to release one... seems like theresa good market for it so hopefully they do soon.
might look into doing one myself now hmmmm

yeah maybe a s**t job i guess all of them eventually break away, how much did you pay to get yours done? , steel one would have to be the best option but they dont come cheap even if there damage!

hi got no good pics of the front seats but there are a fair few threads on them, the two front holes line up and may need a little adjusting to get the bolts, same deal with the back two only one of them (the inner one) sits too high, i just used a spare socket as a spacer and bought an extra long bolt :D

as for the rear seats being au there is this thread post1151003.html#p1151003
ive explained that in full detail on there.
i have also fit up ba rear seats before in my old eb, should be some photos of that in the au seat thread also, but i dont recomend using ba rear seats as its a headache.

Progress on the build has slowed due to a change in plans for painting it, ive decided to wing it and do it myself so there is alot of learning going on at the moment, im documenting the whole thing as i go so there will be a big update when its done.

feel free to throw anymore qustions
cheers Jesse

so basically all u did was rip everything electrical out of the ba donor car and transplanted it into the ed?

could u have gotten away with using the ed ign barrel and keys? or u had to change it simply to use the ba BCM to bypass the immobilizer system...

there needs to be more info on this lol

mate top job...i wanna do the same thing...ba dash and all...with ur permission ofcourse :P

Your bumpers give me wood.
I think I might take to a spare set of bumpers with some sandpaper and fibreglass filler.

bumpers are 90% complete front bar is pretty much done but the rear bar needs a small bit of filler to smooth it out. side skirts are welded and need a tiny bit of filler too.
reason i am telling you this is because they are for sale, $250 for the lot as i have already painted the stock ones for my car and wont be needing these ones anymore let me know if you are interested 0416741466

cheers Jesse

cheers yep a complete swap, only thing that needed to be spliced was head/tail lights boot release fuel cap release, elec windows and central locking (however i am looking at transplanting the locks also =)
im sure you could get away with the ed ign barrel etc, however i dont think its worth trying at all, would be difficult. plus the ba collumn bolts into the dash so its just easier to bolt up then plug and play.
your welcome to go ahead and do this yourself the more the merrier i think!
this does need alot more info however if you have any questions ill be happy to answer so fire away.
cheers Jesse

Just a quick post on the progress, unfortunately my phone stuffed up for a while during the prepping stages and i lost all the photos, just got my old phone working again so heres a few pics of where the car is at now.
all that is left to do is put in the pacemaker axtractors, highflow cat, 4" 45 degree tip for the exhaust.
going to the motor trimmers to have the parcel shelf and roofliner retrimmed in black.
tinted windows
and ive got a dual climate 6 stacker unit to install also. plus new speakers
since my last post ive added full electric bf xr doortrims and instrument cluster, top of the range alarm system. au carpet and installed pedders lowered springs and shocks all round.
all registerd ready to go once those last things are done.

could you please post couple of shots on the door trims and how they fit?

just lined up some AU trims to my EA and there is roughly 2in of exposed door unless they made the BA trims longer then just cant see how it fits correctly(understand that its not a direct fit like a proper Eseries trim)
