Howdy.
Why can't you put a DOHC BA/BF head on an EF/EL block??? I can't get my head around it. The BA/BF block is carry over from EF/EL/AU... |

the block is not a direct carry on, many changes were made

plus, isn't the head a fair bit longer in the barra, due to the twin cam or something?
As I recall JetXR had a big f**k hole in his bonnet to fit the engine in. |

The DOHC head looks wider, so i'd assume the top of the block is also wider.

Then all ya gotta do is ask The difference is about 13-15kw (I can't remember I lost my first printout... ) The blue line is pre-cam. The red line is with cam. I'm expecting a higher figure when I have it re-dynoed later in the year as it was putting out noticabley more power after about a week two from the install. Not sure why, but it just was... |
