I have AU headgasket set, Headbolts, plugs, oil, oil filter, coolant(water), iis there somthing im forgetting? Also, witht the headbolts, could someone tell my why I have to replace them, and also, is there a tech doc or similar on how to do it? I do a very good idea, but its always good to have backup.

thay tell me you should replace the head bolts due to streching of the old bolts , besides that mate just put it back together in reverse of how you took it apart

The head bolts are a special kind of bolt called a "torque to yield" or TTY. When you tighten them up for the first time they stretch which gives them better and more even pressure on the head, but it means that if you try to use them again there is a good chance they will stretch to far and snap or they wont give the same pressure.

and make sure you do NOT put coolant/inhibitor onto the water system,
generally you would do the head gasket, run it for a week and then flush the system/refill with coolant. I believe this allows the head to bake without any other chemicals interfering.

I do a very good idea, but its always good to have backup. most times when an e series has 'done a head gasket' it's not actually a cracked gasket but a snapped headbolt allowing the head to warp and lift enough to leak coolant. this is why you use au parts when putting it back together as the problem was rectified then.

I managed to stretch all exhaust side head bolts. Suprising how much difference there was for removing the exhaust side to the inlet side.

The head gasket sits between the Cylinder head and the top of the Engine Block “Deckâ€; it creates a seal between the head, block, Cylinders, oil and water galleries |
