Hello,

I wanted to find out if anyone else has heard a dripping noise after changing the oil in a BF Falcon 6 cylinder N/A. I changed it for the first time myself and used Penrite HPR5 5w-40 full synthetic. It runs fine like always but after the oil change at idle I hear a drip, drip, drip noise coming from the engine like the oil is dripping into the sump.
It has never made this noise before after a mechanic has changed the oil in the past.
Is this normal?

Coogsta.

I use the same oil in my BA and occasionally hear a similar sound.
Probably the noise of the oil recirculating around the engine ? :|

I'd reconsider your choice of grease... oh, I mean oil.
