Drop the K frame and pull the sump off, or fish around with a magnet tool.

yer.. at first with the razor blade i wasnt too worried.. now the magnet is in there somewhere i dont knwo if its stuck on the crank or the bottom of the sump. gr. i might take the sump out and change the gasket coz its leaking anyway. just another job i didnt need! haha.. any words of advice on droping the k frame? ive never done it

yeah what im thinking is, i might just unbolt the engine mounts and lift the engine with an engine jack. it also describes this way in the manual, and i should get enough clearence wiht the head off and the pivot from the gearbox.. hopefully.

providing it went all the way down into the sump, i wouldnt worry about it to much, its not going to go anywhere, the oil pick up has a screen on it, the crank wont touch it..
