hey guys, i was thinking of moving the battery to the boot on my ebII and making a 2nd airbox in that space (CAI style), then connecting it to a T pipe so i can run 2 air filters, i'm running a k&n filter already! what do you think? has it been/ can it be done?

do a little paint picture of what you want to do, will make it easier to see what you want.

With a log manifold would be difficult with the plumbing due to the clutch fan being in the way. Using a broad Band Manifold of a EF/EL would be alot easier to install and run two airboxes. Install a EF/EL airbox into the normal location using EL intake piping and then use the existing EB airbox and install it in the battery location the same way as the factory AIT EA Turbo's... Fit a t-adaptor at the throttle body and run a pipe to the EB airbox.. Job Done..

dont waste your time with the twin air pod idea. Spend your money on Diff gears instead.

I can see a problem with running dual airboxes.
If you were to have a second airbox on the battery side, the intake piping would need to be fed awfully close to the extractors, pretty much defeating the purpose of getting more air to the engine.

the amount of turbulance that setup is creating would more than likely be counter active, the throttle bodies are back to back, bad design
they should be from the same side, or offset at each side of the plenum but top marks for effort! if the stock Tb was blocked i reckon that setup would work well
