Duel Fuel Ford Falcon with factory fitted LPG converter
Is starting this car up on LPG a good idea? I'm getting conflicting opinions. Some say that I should always start the car up on Petrol and then switch to LPG while the engine is running. Others say there is no problem with starting this car up on LPG.

there is not a problem starting on LPG per se....
the issue generally is about keeping the petrol system in good condition through regular use also some dual fuel systems have a difficulty starting on lpg... I have an EF on LPG that i always start on petrol as i get bad backfires if i dont.....

When I start the car on Petrol, rev it up to 2,000 rpm then push the button to switch to LPG, and release the acceleration, the car stalls.
It didn't do this before. But if I start the car on LPG it runs fine. Any idea why it would stall when I try to switch from Petrol to LPG while the engine is still running?

I need to switch over to LPG either:
(1) manually - while engine is still running, or (2) before the engine is started
