would it be worthwhile as far as power and economy goes?
with a straight gas setup you can set the spark plug gap to suit gas, set/buy the computer for optimum settings for gas etc... itd be just like running a straight petrol system but... for gas or am i just being an idiot lol thank you for your wisdom gents. |

It can be done - I have seen plenty of cars where the petrol system has been removed all together and LPG fitted.

I have an AU III on striaght gas. Get a bit over 500kms a tank (around town). Not sure if it was factory fitted or not, tank is under boot and takes up spare wheel well, but looks the same as aftermarket tank not like a donut that is placed in wheel well itself???? Anyway, kms are ok but definatley do loose a fair bit of power.

I removed the fuel system out of my Girlfriends AU and plugged the holes and ran it on straight LPG. Used LPG computer and Aftermarket Gas system. She loves it Runs awsome and no problems. With some cars at work that we convert to straight LPG we remove all Petrol System but leave injectors in to plug holes and use a aftermarket LPG computer still works the same.
