Surely the XR got better suspension, more supportive seats, perhaps a more aggresive shift pattern ? bigger wheels and more creature comforts ? BTW my guess is 135rwkw

Q1. should be about 141-148rwkw depending on if it is auto or manual
Q2. the BA XR6 are 182kw at the flywheel motor magazine did a dyno run of a BA XR6 and a BA XT, the XR was 146rwkw and the XT was 141rwkw (if my memory serve me correctly) and with only 5000kms on the clock the engine wouldnt have loosened up fully yet...

wouldnt it be too early to put it on the dyno, if its only got 1500kms on it. if i had a brand new car i'd take it easy for at least 7000kms
but on the other hand i recon it should get just over 130rw/kw

Voids, they supposedly run these engines in flat-chat on a dyno at the factory. Well at least some manufacturers do.

mate there the one with the car so i think if they say its a BA its a f**k BA, never heard of cars not being sold!! also more then likely the bloke that bought it probably got it dirt cheap cuz the new BF were in and they wanted the remainder of the BA's out...ever think of that!!

A lot of people reckon cars that have been given a hard time go the best, probably not good for the rest of the drivetrain though lol.

but on the other hand i recon it should get just over 130rw/kw that would be a good way to end up with an oil burner. taking it easy was the most common cause of oil consumption of new cars when at my last job at a new car dealer. that ones driven properly never had any problems |

most of the stories ive heard when problems happen is when th car gets flogged from the start but the cars that get treated easy for the first 5000km go a lot harder and less problems. later thats what i was led to believe but then again a flogged engin isnt going to last as long as a engin treated well. when i worked at the open cut we had a few vehicles and they got rhreemed from day 1 and at 70 000km they go like crap gutless. but the supervisors vehicle that never gets flogged seems to go a lot harder now with the same kms. i'll stick to my theory and drive a new car soft for the first 5000km.

I took out a Mitsubishi 380 the other day, 28km on the clock. Gave it enough to induce torque steer and make the traction control s**t itself idiot salesman there

hi
ok guys the man is brett a fordmod member he okked his ID we ran the car with air temp sensor next to the intake snork and manifold vacumm was measure where there is a junction connnect at the back of the BBm manifold aie/fuel was meassure at the raer of the exhaust we made 4 runs in total i had the initia factor set a 1 ( one ) i had the correction factor set at 0 ( zero ) power runs were done in second gear ( automatic ) i ramped up and ramped down that way we have the initia factor of this vehicle built into the graph not a number i made up in my head , and take the average of the two graphs. this will give u a indication from the graphs this vehicle can do on dyno cheers so whos guess was the closest ?????
