ok another question..
Now that I have these small mods: AU gasket, ported head, mild cam, elec fans, EA intake (soon to be followed by extractors and 2.5 exhaust) is it necessary to do a dyno run to check fuel mixtures? How well does the standard ECU cope with re-fuelling? The last thing I want to do is plant foot and have the engine lean out on me and burn a valve or something. It all depends on the capabilities of the factory computer with mods and I'm not familiar with the Falcons yet. thoughts/comments. |

she'll be right, the standard ecu/injector will cope. like stock said, she'll run rich. its not like its pumping out 190rwkw or more, is it?.

i'd swap the oxy sensor, change the fuel filter and reset the ecu if you were really that worried about it

yeah it's running rich as F.
how do you reset the ECU ?? my stupid manual won't tell me. with the cam it's running rough as guts and blowing black smoke.. won't even hold an idle. |

Just disconnect the battery for a while, 15-20 minutes should be fine and then the ECU will be reset (oh, so will your radio)

The orange warning light is probably the low windscreen washer alert. Mine sometimes comes on even with half a bottle of water. Just annoying not serious.
