Okay, I've had my Ba for just over 4 weeks now, and I decided to give her a run on the dyno.
Went to APC Performance in Wangara, and while they are pretty good, I payed $90 for like 15mins on a dyno. Pretty happy with the result for a bone stock car though, 185.3HP or 138.18rwkw. The tourqe curve was very flat, and you can see where the exaust causes a bottleneck. I should be able to get to 200HP easy with exaust, extractors, high flow cat, and typhoon intake and my fordmods sticker(that comes sunday). I took photo's and video's too See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSK4DPN_74g for a video.

Apparently that's it suffocating.
It needs cold air intake, and exaust etc. Plus it's running s**t fuel. |

high octane fuel makes quite a difference in power.

When I ran 98 octane, I felt about the same differnce as (a typhoon intake and K&N) which although is small may have given me an extra 8rwkw.

they strap the car down with these things that look like seatbelts attached to the undercarrage

They strap seatbelts to the ground and the back. or they can chock the front wheels I'm guessing.
EDIT: BEATEN! Those ford guys are so much faster than my poor Holden outfitting. |

I more or less dyno'd mine out of curiousity, it was rather fun I didn't see any slings attached, and I didnt even see a point they could have fixed them from, saying this I didn't see the back of the car while it was on, but I watched the whole time, and all he did was put little wedges in front of the car :/ He removed them and then moved the car off, somehow ? That part puzzled me. He had a little trouble getting it on, but soon as it was on it just sat there rolling (it's auto). |
