I finally got round to putin the ol' EA on the dyno.
Got 181hp at the treads. It was 34dgs and 70% humidity.
The only work is a ported & polished head, Pacie comps and a homemade exhaust system.
It is the original bottom end, with rattly lifters, and if I don't drive it for a few days, gets 2 bigend knocks on start up, so she ain't the best.
The torque curve is very flat.
Don't worry about the date, I don't know why it says the date thats on it.

Tell us what you think.

No it was just a run to see how it was and to check the A/F ratio.
Turns out it is pretty rich, around 11.5 to 12:1.
With somemore tweeking, might get a couple more GG's.

how much of a port and polish to the head? shaved at all?

coz 135 rwkw on a stinker of a day, on a stock cam is pretty bloody impresive!

correction factors my friend. the dyno take atmospheric conditions into account when it calculates power.

his porting photos have been posted around the site about 700 times by now.

CJH: not a bad result. auto or manual? most manual XR6s with simple intake and exhaust mods will make about that much power.
so if your is a manual you at least on par with stock XR head for peak power.

It is a manual. Like I said, the donk ain't real good, but does for a test bed. It turns new oil change into black oil in 4 to 6 weeks, and having it running rich won't be helping.

Did another dyno run today after leaning off the fuel map by 10% and redoing the ignition map.
It made 186 rwhp and is still rich in the top end.
The run was done in 4th gear ( 5sp man ).
The torque came up too.
The lower lines are the previous run.

HI CJH,

Are you using one of our J3s to do the tuning? Congrats on the results.

Cheers,
