i think once every few thousand engines in the factory you get a freak, one that has everything perfectly balanced and perfectly matched and they go hard as hell.
mates parents had a stock VN lexcan and it was a freak, i mean it absolutly killed mine by a couple of car lengths.

people say mines a freak, but my 1/8th times are fairly regular for my car i think. 9.811 @74mph for a relatively stock EL

Yeah the only drags round here are about 3 to 4 hour drive away but will eventually go to see what both my cars run at.

Thats pretty good going a stock EF that requires new plugs & leads.
My AU VCT stock mtr with pacemaker ph4499 2.5 redback with stock rear muffler & a blocked air filter could only pull 122.4 & 123 rwk.

THATS WHAT IT SHOULD BE!!! all these figures of high 120's on standard cars... nowadays i really aint taking these figures as gospel anymore unless i see hard proof and even then im sceptical. these dynos have gotta be generous. too many ppl flog themselves off their kw figures, but with too much variation in different dynos it really dont mean JACK.
A slightly modifed EF with exhaust and extractors should pull around 110, my mates did 108. the highest ive ever seen is 115 from a EL with extractors and exhaust.... i really just dont know what is going on with all these ppl gettin 130odd with there slightly modded cars... *end rant*

But what does it matter... 1/4 will always tell the truth ;)

The dyno was done with other cars at Hallam performance out 12 N/A 6 cyl falcons 5 out 6 AU's & 1 out 6 E series pulled over 120rwk. So between 105 to 120rwk would be the norm for a stock EF with extractors.

But they are a good tuning tool to extract better fuel consumpion & any performance gains.

Running good 1/4 or 1/8 times is the goal for some but I prefer better handeling & braking as the car is used as a daily hacker.

I just spent over $1,000 on new Yokohama 234/45r17's & next is koni's for the front shocks. Others would rather put the money into engine mods.
& still not be satisfied with performance so they keep spending for that elusive 1 sec gain in time.

My plugs and leads did not need replacing either I was doin it as a mod cause they were only standard ford ones and want to see if changing to aftermarket ones will bring better numbers. Also I just lowered it last night but at the moment it is only on munroes causwe no one had a set of billy's to fit it.

fuzion can you please explain to me as to why you think that a pod filter will decrease ur rwkw's????
also i rekon all these high readings are from the tuners not strapping the car down enough allowing it to slip on the rollers hell we tried it on mine and i had 197rwks when its supposed to be 174 or thereabouts thats where i think ur high readings are coming from a stock ef-el manual or auto will not exceed 110-112 rwkws until pigs fly!!!

A lot of dyno charts are all about bragging rights.

The truth is a good E seires can pull anywhere from 95-105 rwkw stock.

The XR6's 110-115rwkw.

Thats why I wouldn't worry about any dyno result unless it was on a dyno day where you got back to back comparisons with other cars. Even at the drag strip there are good and bad days but at least you have a real number you can compare with other cars.

Man you guys need to wake up. It is possible to get good numbers out of a falcon. Also I only just occured to me the cam is not necessarily standard cause I bought the car second hand so could have anything under the hood. Also we had a dyno shot out today and my XH falcon ute ran 205rwhp. Which was also sold to me as a stock car so could be anything!

ur dyno must be BROKEN then omg does ur xh really feel like it has 205rwhp or 205kw at the engine????
lol the mods in ur sig are good for about 10-15 kw at the most theres no trick to it buddy u gotta open the engine to get N/A power theres no other way to it u probrably got like 165-170 rwhp on a real dyno and if i lined u up ud see the difference
