Wots the difference between the 3.9 and 4l injected eb eds, is it just the Head? or are the blocks different 2?
And my 4l ed is starting to smoke after a thew months of racing and burnout comps, is the most likely problem head gasket? or is it common 4 bottom end problems or rings in these? |

What colour smoke? Is it losing coolant/oil? Is your oil looking milky?
Fairly sure the 3.9 had a slight difference in bore (very slight), as well as the heads.

only using oil, oil is clean, not milky and no coolant is being used

the 3.9 is 40 thou smaller bore than the 4,0. otherwise the block is pretty much the same, the ea head has a slightly smaller combustion chamber and has smaller ports..
otherwise, again pretty much the same... |
