howdy, thought i would post some feedback on the e series edit, had mine done 2 weeks ago on my el xr6 by bruce heinrich in Adelaide, i gained 15-18rw kw through the whole rev range and it picked up a lot more response to, the revs are a lot more snappier, ie it revs a lot quicker also.
i had it done for $850 but only that cheap coz a contact, i think set price is 950-1000 or something. well worth the money as uni and chiptorque dont seem to get those numbers from what i have seen, anywayz i would love to hear if anyone else has had one or if anyone else is planning on getting one or if you have a rival chip that you got numbers like that from cheers

And they are basically the same things as well. Both reprogram the ecu in the same way. I suspect that at this stage chiptorque would still have more ecu support. But really it all comes down the the tuner. Chiptorques, edits, unichips, motecs, they all do the same basic thing. The end result really depends more on the tuner, how experience he is, how much time they spend on it, and how aggressive they set the tune.

With the chip included in the SC packages it's just a generic tune, based on your original ECU, e.g. I had the Tickford XR6 auto ECU so gave them the code for that and and got the matching chip.
I guess this set up is ment for people with stock or near stock donks that are just bolting the blower on, not for custom set ups. |

before i had the edit done i had paceys 4480 tune length, redback 2 1/2, hi flow cat, induction kit with pod, crow cam 3-6k and thats it, before the dyno i had 148.9 rwkw, my car made on the same dyno after the edit tune 165rwkw, it wasnt just top end either, on my dyno graph it made that much extra power from the beggining all the way through the rev range, the edit also smoothened out the point at which the bbm switches over also i have been told that mine was a good tune also because of how bad my mixtures where before the tune so that may have helped to give me a good power gain. before the tune on WOT my car started at 11. something and dropped to 10 flat on fuel to air... it is now 12.8 ish or something almost constant on WOT

I'm in the process of getting an Eliminator switch installed in mine..... I would love feedback from anyone who has one installed in their cars, and what they think of them... before I actually go ahead with it.. I have heard pros an cons about them, but I'd like to hear from those who have them..

Since having the eliminator chip fitted and a 95 octane tune done along with some intake mods my 1/4 mile times have improved by .7 of a second. Only gained 4rkw but much more in the mid range.

So very close. Still got a 98 octane tune to do, should drop into the 14's. The chip and tune has managed pull all the mod's together and produce better power and times, something I couldn't do no matter what I did. A lot of the success or failure with chips and tuning has to do with the tuner, having said that Simon from Xtremefordtunning has definitely produced the good's for my car.
