no


how come? ive had it in there once but just 12 litres and cause the other servos were closed

I wouldn't say it is really bad...one tank every once in a while won't do harm. Over long term exposure, you may see some issues with fuel line deterioration (only the rubber hoses/O-rings really). This is obviously only for stock cars.

I run 98 because of my tune.
With price vs economy you will find that it is not cheaper than 95, just cheaper at the pump.
Ethanol, being a solvent, will degrade (or accelerate the degradation of) all oil based products: plastics, rubber, essentially everything used in your fuel lines. Newer vehicles have been developed with this in mind and are more resistant to solvents, however these older cars are not. While you may not notice fuel line/ o ring/ seal degradation for a long period of time, what you will notice is the ethanol breaking down fuel deposits within your fuel line. This causes troubles with lines, fuel filters and injectors if your not careful. There is also no fuel pump for the falcons that i know of that is resiliant to solvents, both in the fittings and the pump itself. So, in the long run its cheaper, easier and more efficient to use 95 ron fuel. Hope that helps

we've being using & tuning with E85 for over 18 months its true about the fuel filters but regarding all of the other alleged reports we've not experianced any at all... as long as it dosn't stay stagnant in the tank & we tell customers every now & then throw a tank of premium & switch tunes....

Depends on person and car really. If you're a tight a***, most likely you'll run something cheap. If the car is tuned to run 98 RON, then you'd want to run 98.

I run 98, because the car is tuned for 98, pings on anything less. In saying that, I'm a tight a***, so I might change the timing to suit 91. Barely drive it now, so cost isn't a factor anymore.

After seeing results of E85 with paper media filters, I'd be getting a stainless steel mesh filter myself.

Been using E10 in both cars since it came out with no issues.

You will find that different brands perform differently as with all fuels. Caltex E10 is s**t, only reason I use it is that I have a Star Card and the "Boss" works for Woolworths servo's and gets 5% off. Best I have found is Mobil E10, now 7/11 stores but use Mobil fuel.

My car is stock though so if you do performance work you will need to look at you octain rating. Others that I know have used it and their cars ran not so good. I get reasonably good milage from Mobil E10 but with Caltex E10 I loose about 50km a tank, but it is free for me.

I know CMS tuned a Turbo XR6 for E10 and got some good numbers considering, so if you car likes it use it.

nah Paul I won't use E10, we only use Caltex E70-75 or United E85 or United E100 Ricky runs E70 & Chris want to run United E85 the problem is when they decide to throw a spash of something else it throws a major spanner in the system

Sorry Joe, remember now that the tune I was thinking about was on 91 not E10. My error, must remember to engage memory bank before typing :oops: . Ahhh well thats what getting old does for you.
